SWING UNMASKED THE Agricultural riots of1830 to 1832 and their wider implications

This first publication of the Family & Community Historical Research Society’s publishing arm, FACHRS Publications, is no available and comprises a collection of eleven essays based on the Society’s recent national research project into the Swing Riots, a consolidated bibliography, a surname index and thirty-four pages of appendices listing the Date of Offence, the Parish, name of the Offender, and name of victim. The essays refer to incidents in Surrey, Shropshire, Essex, Derbyshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, and Norfolk, as well as essays of a more general nature. There are also 19 tables, 7 figures, 32 illustrations and 14 maps covering aspects of the Swing Riots.In addition the Society has published a CD ROM containing a copy of all the recorded name data for the victims and offenders of Swing Riot incidents between 1830 and 1832
