My research interests centre on north-west Essex, particularly my home village of Clavering and nearby market town of Saffron Walden. I am currently secretary of the Archive Society in Walden, helping to index the old documents and make them more widely known. The society is working in conjunction with the Essex Record Office and Saffron Walden Town Council to catalogue and eventually digitise the town archives.
I am also news editor of the FACHRS journal, Family & Community History and welcome any feedback on articles, regional news and other contributions to the news pages. The deadline for the May issue is January 1st and for the November issue July 1st.
